These simple caramelized bananas are sweet and warm. Cooked in honey, cinnamon, and butter for a delicious treat. You can add them on top of all kind of desserts or breakfasts. If you are not a huge fan of bananas this will change your mind.

They take less then 10 minutes to make and will be very challenging not to eat straight out of the pan. Careful though cause they might burn your tongue.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 bananas
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Try adding caramelized bananas to the following:

  • Peanut butter toast
  • Nutella toast
  • Ice cream sundae
  • Yogurt
  • Pancakes
  • French Toast

Tips & Tricks:

  • Banana: Don’t cut your bananas too thin because they will be very hard to flip.
  • Mix Well: If you don’t get the butter and honey mixed well together in the pan you will end up with sections of hardened cooked honey that is hard to get off the pan.
  • Cooking Oil: My favourite cooking fats for this recipe are coconut oil or butter, but you can use any neutral oil you prefer.
  • Pan Heat: Keep a close eye on the bananas if your pan is too hot it will burn the sugars. Adjust the heat as needed.
  • Make It Vegan: Use coconut oil and maple syrup instead of butter and honey to make this recipe vegan.
