Ingredients for Smashed Potatoes:
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1.5 lb baby potatoes (colour of choice)
- 2 tbsp olive oil , more if desired
- pinch coarse sea salt , for sprinkling
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chives *optional
Tips & Tricks:
- Cooking the potatoes: Make sure that your potatoes are fork tender before trying to smash them otherwise they will not flatten.
- Smashing the potatoes: You can use the bottom of a mason jar to smash the potatoes or to get some crispier edges use some forks. The thinner the potatoes are smashed the crispier they will become.
- Toppings: Chives, parsley, parmesan cheese, chimichuri sauce and any other sauce you might want.
