A mojito in its original form is still technically a citrus mojito. With the main base for its flavour coming from the lime and liquor. This drink is like summer in a glass. A Orange Mojito is light and bright in flavour. The orange and lime add a pop of acidity along with sweetness to every sip.

Ingredients for Orange Mojito:

  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
  • 2 thin orange wedges
  • 2 teaspoons cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 – 2 ounces white rum
  • club soda

Tips & Tricks:

  • Muddling: Make sure that you muddle the mint and citrus enough for the natural flavours to be released. You want to lightly “bruise” the mint leave to release the flavour. You can use any kind of muddler you have around the house or get something similar to this to make the process easier.
  • Orange: You can add a splash of orange juice to the drink if you want to intensify the flavour and add additional sweetness.
  • Soda Water: To increase the flavour you can add flavoured waters like a lime or orange bubbly.
  • Non-Alcoholic: You can easily make this drink virgin by excluding the rum.
