Simple sweet delicious peach iced tea. Homemade iced tea is always better than the store bought kind. It’s as easy as making a peach infused simple syrup and adding it into your steeped tea. This tastes exactly like a bottle of pure leaf peach iced tea but you get to control the overall sweetness.
Don’t waste the peach that is leftover in this recipe after you strain your simple syrup. The leftover chunks are great for topping your ice cream with or even use as a jam on some toast.
Ingredients:
- 3 black tea bags
- 4 cup boiling water
Peach syrup
- 3 large peaches ripe
- 2 cup water
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar use ½ cup for a sweeter tea
Tips & Tricks:
- Steeping The Tea: Steep your tea for as long as you want. The longer you leave it the stronger the tea will be. You could even leave it overnight.
- Peaches: Fresh peaches work best in this recipe. Make sure they are ripe and juicy to extract the best flavour. Canned peaches are essentially already in a peach simple syrup so you could skip the blending step and just add that directly to your tea.
- Blending Your Peaches: Make sure that the blender has enough space in it for all of the ingredients and some extra. An over filled mixer will make a very sticky mess.
- Storage: Keep in a pitcher in your fridge for up to 5 days. If it lasts that long.
