Strawberry overnight oats are a wonderful way to start your day! It requires no effort and is great for those of us who are still half asleep in the morning. You can throw all of the ingredients into a jar, give it a good shake and then wait for the magic.

Strawberry overnight oats don’t have to be strawberries either, swap out the fruit and jam for anything you have on hand. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, will all taste delicious. Oats are a great blank canvas that will take on whatever flavours you pair them with perfectly.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (use any milk you have)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup to make it vegan
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter *optional
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1/2 tablespoon hemp hearts *optional

Tips & Tricks:

  • Old Fashioned Oats: Instant/quick/steel cut oats don’t work well in overnight oats because they don’t absorb the liquid the same way as old fashioned oats do.
  • Fridge: If you can’t wait overnight you can wait a minimum of 4 hours and get a similar result.
  • Finished Overnight Oats: You can eat overnight chilled or heated up, whatever you prefer!
  • Strawberries: Swap the strawberries for any fruit you want. Blueberries, raspberries, mango, chocolate, peanut butter, ect.
  • Additional Add Ins: For extra natural fats to make this more filling add some hemp hearts or a nut butter of your choice.
